I have just spent 8 hours on a bus so not much to report except I will admit to a quiet satisfaction on passing through the border to Tabasco and seeing the fruit and veg checkpoint that officially marks the end of the peninsula.
Palenque I am pleased to report has lots of jungle and even mountains visible on the horizon, I hadnt realised how much I missed being able to see the hills. I am staying in a place called El Panchal which is in among the trees and so a very attractive place to stay. Its still far too hot and humid but otherwise things are looking up.
